I have a set of Rugged Ridge manual hubs on my 1991 Ranger STX (Dana 35 TTB axle for those who may not know or are wondering).

I installed the hubs a couple years ago and now they make an awful ratcheting sound when unlocked. I want to upgrade them to a set of Mile Marker or Warn hubs. The question is which is better? I have heard bad things about the Warn hubs wearing out fast and that the MileMarker hubs being made better and I'm curious as to what is better?

5 years in and I am not having any issues with my Warns.

Mile Marker is a good brand too though.

I am starting to think that the issues with them come from people rock crawling with them. I think either one would be fine for my uses.

I have not yet. It does for sure sound like something loose but it is also coming from both of them. I will check them one of these next few days and post pics if I find anything.
