I have a 2000 Ranger and I want to remove the trim from around the radio, AC vents and controls. I am guessing it just prys off, but I wanted to ask before I broke it.

Over the A/C controls, under the radio, there are two little screws going up. take them out first, then it just pops right off. then on the back side, the Cig. Lighter/Aux inpt, A/C controls all come of with a couple of screws. It's a lot easier if you pull the head unit out , to give you something to grab, so you don't have to pry it off and possibly damage the dash around the bezel.

Thank you very much. I don't know how I missed the screws. Of course at 73 years of age, I miss a lot these days!

Exactly what Ranger850 said.

It's very easy. If you want to take the radio out as he mentioned, you can source the U-tool(s) to take the radio out at Autozone, etc. They go in the 2 little holes on the side of the OE radio.

A coat hanger or wire cut to length has been known to work too. Instead of the tool from autozone
