Hope i'm in the right form. My old 1999 ranger 3.0L 4x4 clutch is slowly given up. It's not a hot rod but do some playing in it. I put the manual type hubs on it , vacuum always a problem. Anyway is there big deal on what clutch kit to use. Or they about the same,what about slave cylinder. Are they the same or is there a better set up for the money. Don't won't to go nuts for stock 3.0. thanks :icon_thumby:

I have used LUK brand for many years on Rangers and other cars and trucks, no complaints.

I would use the Self Adjusting Clutch(SAC) pressure plate

Avoid "racing clutch" discs, they use softer material for faster/better grip but...............wear out much faster

Once you have the Link part number, check Amazon. I ordered one for me '93 this morning for about $52. That was the kit that includes the throw out bearing. Over $20 cheaper than Rock Auto and I'm very loyal to RA.
