I thought those were the pictures you posted above of the rig you made yourself?

My brain is not letting go on this... When I think about having it, I want to do more stuff with it. My garage shop is a 3D puzzle. I hardly have room to store a new wrench so, backing the Ranger in is not on the table. Can't I just buy some 2" I.D. 1/8" thick square tubing and lag bolt it to a stud? I don't know how much tongue weight that thing (the titties and ice cream one) exerts on the receiver. Too much for a stud? Maybe better to build an incredibly stout little bench and bolt the "receiver" to that...

[edit]
The free standing bench idea clearly is a bad idea so forget that one...

My credo
it is easier to fix and understand than "her"
the base and extensions i made. the boom is the baby h/f unit you specked. i just modified it to suit my needs.

the jack feature can be handy for other stuff.

i was referring to a previous creation.

if you look at the picture climbing the rock ledge and the one with the rack on it...i had a bracket that tore up the back of the bed on the rear passenger side...from the crane. the damage is visible in the pic.

it was a simple jib with one high setting. very easy and light.
