Ford Ranger 4-Cylinder Engines – The Ranger Station
These motors are commonly referred to as either the Lima or simply the 2.0, 2.3 or 2.5 OHC (Over Head Cam) engines. They started life based on the German designed 2.0 EAO sport motors that were first introduced to this country in the Mercury Capri’s from the early 1970’s.

* It looks like the pinto or lima engine is a cross flow here?
Is that correct?
Intake is shown on drivers side, I C no exh mani (must B on pass's side).
* Is it also a Pass's side drop (driveshaft; w/ frnt DS - in 4WD on driver's side)?
I love the motor (esp w/turbo & D ports's head) also the Weber progressive carb !
* In the last iteration (2.5L) is it 'stroked' while earlier version 'square" engines?
* Last, any 1 know if development was based ona German or English motor? Which if so?
Thank you for ur time & answ !
