Hi I’ve got a 1984 bronco ii with the 2.8 liter v6 in it, and it needed a new or rebuilt carburetor, so I ordered a refurbished one
But I accidentally ordered one for a 85 is there any difference in a 84 to a 85 carburetor
Thanks in advance.

You can check by going back and pretending to buy a 1984 carb. If it's the same part number as the 1985 you accidentally ordered, then you should be good.

Well I looked it up to see the parts number and they are almost the same the 84 is ND2816A
And the 85 is ND2817A.

Hmm. Interesting, apparently there is a minor difference.

My credo
Toonces drives a Ranger . . . . just not very well.
The main difference '84 to '85 that I can think of, is that the A4LD started in '85 for the auto trans trucks. So, there might be a difference in the passing gear kickdown linkage, like rod versus cable, but otherwise I'm not sure what the difference would be.

I'm curious what you find when it's received, and if you run into anything when installing it.

My 85 still had the rod for the kickdown with the A4LD and a carb. I don't think cable came in until the 2.9 was released.

Thanks. Wasn't sure on the '85. My '84 2.8/C3 had the rod, and my '90 B2 had the cable (that is, before I healed it with a manual swap : ).

I'm kinda curious what the OP finds.
