Thanks for the link to ur swap

this is the write up Ive been looking for!
you went into a lot more detail about the wiring aspect of things
which still leaves me with quite a few questions.
do i use most of my 2.9l wireing harness (computer connection distribution block)? and plug in my 4.0l man trans computer into that and splice 4.0 sensors into my 2.9l harness?
or do i Try salvaging as much of the 91 auto 4.0 ex harness that i can?

some parts that scared me were i have a electric shift transfer case
n everything in my bronco II is power
electrical stuff just scares me, when u start adding colors and stripes i freeze up >.<

I do plan on upgradeing my trans to a m5od along with the 4.0l flywheel and clutch basket. at a later date as funds are very low right now
i have a newer 2.9 clutch about a yr old along with new slave cylinder throwout bearing and master clutch clyinder in the last two months.
i was under the impression that this is possible as both the 2.9 and 4.0 flywheel use the same number of teeth
and that the 2.9 and 4.0 use basically the same clutch internals

I've been reading up on this swap for about a year and Im putting together the final pieces now

a lil history

three months ago i went through entire engine after cracking a head and blowing gasket. (new oil pump, good junkyard heads(new valve seals and valves lapped and cleaned up) water pump, gaskets all the way around, only thing i didn't do was bottom end bearings.

now im haveing more head/gasket/overheating problems so im decideing to scrap this never ending battle with my 2.9 n go for a little more dependable 4.0

this is my only vehicle and daily driver. and the most im trying to have it off the road is a week

You need the 4.0 distribution box and ecu plug. You should cut between the distribution box and passenger headlight.

There is a sensor that sits under the intake. Maybe thats it? Shoot a pic and I'll see if I can find it.

Just my suggestion. The NSS was what was keeping me from starting mine.
