Today my uncle took me for a ride in his 65 mustang that he just got done building. It has a 351W in it and is pretty built up. The engine dyno'd at 418 from the company he bought it from. He added a few things so i guess its up to 435 ish. Anyways when he took me for a ride i nearly crapped my pants at the power of this thing. 435 HP feels a hell of a hot more then what it sounds like. It was one of the only times i've been almost scared riding in a vehicle.....its always nice to appriciate some good american muscle especially when someone did all the work themselves.

Hell yeah it is. If I ever get to the point where I can have another toy, it will be an early 90's Mustang GT w/ a manual that has been untouched. I find this to be hard bc Mustang's are know for reliable power and are relatively cheap to build.

You can never go wrong with old American muscle. My uncle has a 67 Camaro SS that is incredible. This thing is crazy fast. Im still trying to convince him to let me drive. You have any pics of the Mustang?

naw no pics but i'll work on it. Its a deep candy apple red with a shelby cobra raised hood and 20" chrome dub rims. The only thing he didn't do on it was the paint and the motor..other wise it has a explorer rear axle with posi and i believe a mustang 2 front axle kit. This car is rediculously fast and loud...plus its just really pretty. I wish i could have something along those lines.

That makes two of us. Other than the wheels, I do dig the car.

I like the "old school" Cragars or Keystones in 15". Car does look good! Seen a lot of people on Mustang sites going to the Explorer rear end. Ranger is also about the exact same width as the early Mustangs and used as well.

Torque thrusts look great on just about any year mustang.

I love 60's stangs.

Funny a thread about classic mustangs came up...I'm bringing home a 69 mach 1 next weekend, which I found in a barn about 5 miles from where I work.

I like the look of Torque Thrust wheels but it gets old seeing them on every kind of car out there

I had a 67 it was a good car but those 69s are beautiful had a friend with a 428 SCJ and he put a 427 in it.

The thing about the 66 is it's a light car that motor is really going to move it.I rode in my friends 08 shelby 500 with some work done to it last summer as much as I trust him it was pretty scary.
