Would you buy a 2003 Level II with 207,000 miles

So, I finally found a nice looking 2003 level II. Problem is, it has 207,000 miles on it.

Its nice that it has the factory upgrades, 3” body lift, and 32” tires.

Assuming everything is in good running order, how much would you feel safe paying? The inside looks almost factory new

Will any of the desirable factory items be needing replaced based on mileage?

Value depends entirely on how much rust it has. High mileage is just a fact of life when you are buying a vehicle almost 20 years old....

Trying to set time to see it, but supposedly just surface rust on cab corners.

Underside is supposedly coated.

Shocks would be well past shot if they haven't been replaced already.

I guess my thought process leads me to think there is much less value in an FX4 / Level II once you hit 200k miles. But, if it’s clean and I can get it for $4-$5k in today’s market, that’s still likely not bad with the lift and tires.

Just sayin' the miles have exceeded the lifespan of the shock absorbers by now and they are one of the "special" things about the FX4. The rest is mainly dress up stuff aside from the rear axle with the Torson. I don't know how the Torson ages.

Axle and transfer case are the pieces that could stand out.

What's so special about the factory fx4 shocks that aren't attainable in another aftermarket option?

Nothing, they're just Bilsteins.

To a ranger fanatic the fx4 lvl 2 holds value in its name alone...

Fair enough. I’m not one of those. Lol. I just want a reasonable off road truck for hunting and moderate off road. It’s looking like either a Ranger or Xterra - likely whatever I get a better deal on.

If the price is right, it's certainly a good truck. And I'd expect it to continue to hold value pretty well.

That's what I’m trying to narrow down. What is priced right? Assume everything is clean, normal maintenance, and light surface rust on corners of cab. It has a 3” body lift and 33” tires with life left.

Yeah, nothing really. I have Bilsteins on my '85, but they are the only real wear item part of the FX4 package that will degrade with age.

Axle/tcase/trans... with normal care no different than anything else. Chrome tow hooks and black interior... meh.

Big tires are harder on front wheel bearings so give 'er the swerve test and see if she will talk to you.
