Howdy y'all, quick little question.
I am selling an 87 b2 for 1500 or trade, and someone offered me a festiva. nothing majorly wrong with it. would it be a good trade on my end? the b2 has nothing majorly wrong with it either but small stuff.

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
That probably comes down to personal preference. How do blue book values compare? I had a Festiva for a while. It was a fun little car. But in my book the b2 is much better.

Is the bronco currently on fire? Cause that's the only way I'd ever get rid of a bronco for a festiva. :ROFLMAO:

Even then, it’s a toss-up.

The values are about the same. Owner says all it needs is a timing cover.

I am only considering it because I need something more economical. I have a 90 with a 4.0 that I drive more than the 87 so it's time to let it go.
I'd much rather trade for a ranger with a 2.3 5 speed. I had one in the past and it was a good little truck, kick myself everyday for selling it.

Probably gets twice the MPG, if that is something you are concerned about.

Probably comes down to more on why do you want to ditch the bronco?

Its probably better to be self deprecating than self defecating.
Festivas are sick. Id trade, then swap in a honda motor/trans. Slap a cheap ebay turbo setup on the motor, tune it, put some stickies on er and beat up on shit sleeper style. A 10 second festiva for cheap cheap sounds fun.

If you are asking $1500 or trade, and someone is offering up a Festiva, IF they throw in $1600 it might be a good trade.

They were actually somewhat decent cars and got really good mileage, just goofy as all get out. IIRC the powertrain was made by Kia. I wouldn't trade my B2 for one though.

The one I had had a manual transmission. It was like driving a go-cart down the interstate. I felt very vulnerable in it. I could spin the wheels easily. I wouldn’t be surprised if the whole thing was made by Kia. It was very cheaply made.

I've never actually been in one.

I worked with a woman who had one once, and she claimed that it got 55 MPG and that in 155K miles the only major money she'd ever had to put into it was having the timing belt replaced a few times.

Keep in mind they were nicknamed "Fiasco" back in the day.....

I'm surprised you found one that still runs.

If you lived closer I'd be coming to look at the Bronco.
