Wot switch that turns off ac?

Do we have a wide open throttle switch that kills the ac on the 3.0?

I ask because the new fan clutch didn't fix that intermittent ac issue and it's not at any particular time. It will quit on the highway or while sitting idling with no notice. Just air gets warmer and than it magically comes back on.

I haven't really tried anything to see if there is any peculiarity but nothing jumps out at me. I was just wondering if we have a wot switch, maybe it's sticking or something?

Toonces drives a Ranger . . . . just not very well.
Off the top of my head, I think that the EEC opens the AC WOT relay based on TPS input. And I remember some aftermarket AC systems that used a switch added to the throttle linkage.

I believe you're right. I was thinking of the WOT relay.

Mine is probably the computer controlled one than since it's a stock 04. So it's probably not the tps since the truck runs great and never has thrown a code or done anything weird
