Have 93 splash...4.0 ohv
Truck sat for 5 years and im getting it back up n running.
Started right up and drove to my garage then noticed fuel leaking down tank from top. Dropped tank and fuel pump connections were broke n rusted..replaced whole pump assembly and filter, used some gas seal to patch filler neck. Had crack at bottom....started up nice and drove all day around property..below 20mph..took wife to have drink and seen fuel leak from top of tank when i pulled in. Was only mile away so drove home..made it. Connection had popped off. Didnt seat the quick disconnect right. Fixed that and now it wont start. Checked spark..good..air is good..has compression..ether in intake turns it over like it should..but cant get it to actually start and run. Fuel pump primes when key on..everytime. filter has fuel running through..when i push the shraeder valve with a screwdriver..nothing..but if i remove line from fuel pressure regulator it sprays good..so i have fuel and pressure up to the fpr...now what? How can i diagnose test fpr, injectors, etc..

Welcome to TRS :)

"but if i remove line from fuel pressure regulator it sprays good..so i have fuel and pressure up to the fpr"

You have fuel lines reversed, probably at the gas tank end

FPR has the Return fuel line attached

Fuel comes from the pump thru the filter and to the Fuel Rail, drivers side fuel line connection, between upper and lower intake.

Fuel goes thru the fuel rail, to injectors, and FPR holds it in fuel rail until pressure is 30-40psi
FPR then opens and sends extra fuel BACK to the gas tank in the Return line
