ok so, Im chasing gremlens it seams. Moving on. It has a hard time controling idle, is hard on gas and smokes when its first started. Only 3 codes are being thrown out. One says it cant control high speed idle during self test. Other stated that right bank is runing lean and the last code says left bank runing lean. Wtf's up with this. You can clearly see its runing rich but the ecm thinks its runing lean. Any ideas?

ok, Shes got a good cat, new TPS old one got smacked by a tree, long story there. anyways. New FPR old one failed and fuel was in the vac line. I found a thread from way back in the day on how to set up the tps so i folowed it, helped a bit. When it gets t o4500 rpm it acts like the rev limiter kicks in.

it is easier to fix and understand than "her"
what pcm does it have?

when its running, cycle the key off and back on but dont let it stall out, you may have to rev it a bit first to keep from cranking again.

depending on pcm cal, there may be a nds issue. if it whips after you cycle the key it definatly is.

on my '65 5.0L efi mustang swap, I accidently mis-wired the TFI. (this assumes you're running a distributor and TFI).
there is a wire on the TFI that should only be hot while the starter motor is cranking- it retards the timing for easier starts. if its hot all the time, it will act similar to what you're seeing.

or you could just have the timing wrong.

hmm, interesting. I have a DA1 ecm, Still havent figured out what NDS is. I will check for shorts in the TFI harness. This issue just seamd to happen over time. The engine is runing a lot better now tho. It was a dog for a long time, now It will pull the arse out of a moose, that is untill it hits about 4500 rpm, then it dies
