Been having connectivity issues lately...thought it was the wifi stick (D-Link) or the holder...so after several up down move around boot scootin' boogies with trying to find the best signal it suddenly works fine...
Went through this for the past month or so...could not figure it out...removed the modem that I never use (found in IRQ conflict) and it seemed to be better...the IRQ was shared with the USB controllers...so I figured this might cause it even though I don't have the modem connected...
So, while chatting to the person who has the wifi router I connect to, I happened to mention that I'd been having problems and asked her if she found this too...nope...
I then asked "do you have cordless phones"?..."why yes, that's all we use..."
There's about a dozen emoticons I could put in here to express myself, but at least I know my stick is actually working and I'm gonna have to adjust my usage to avoid the interference...thought maybe a repeater might help since I'm probably at the limit of reach for the signal anyway...
I was also thinking about running an ethernet cable from the router to my room with a switch connected to it...that would avoid the problem completely...only a matter of getting the cable ran and and buying the equipment...
Anyone else have any thoughts???
