I'm new to this site going to say I've been broke down at my house for about a month without a vehicle I have a 97 with the 3.0 it was used as a surveillance van . I want to make this too long I have a wiring harness from a 93 I got out of he junkyard. I need the mate it to the 97 engine compartment wiring harness. I would appreciate anybodys time that mihjt have a diagram
or pictures or color coded diagrams would be grateful I don't have any. I'm going to attempt to rewire some things I hope to hear from somebody that mihjt have a diagram or advice thank you.

A Chilton or Haynes manual would have every thing you would need for wiring diagrams between the 2 years. since you have gone this far you know the computer and wiring for the engine under the hood is different but the rest should be strait forward using one of those manuals wiring diagrams.

In your post in the "Introduce Yourself" thread BlackBII posted some wiring diagrams that will work for you. Please save these and they will help you. There are only a few wires that go from interior to exterior that will need to be mated with the proper wiring. Since your engine control wiring is intact this job will be more time consuming than hard. ( I know the diagrams are there since I to saved a copy of them.)

If there is an wire going into the cabin use the 93 Wiring diagram to find it's corresponding wire and pin it into the bulkhead connector inside the vehicle. Do not expect color codes to match up so use the diagrams to tell which wires need to mate up.

EDIT: you are not "butting in" this is "your" help thread. You are asking for the help in a thread that you started so no need to apologize for adding info or asking more questions on this subject.

I guess m,y first question would be, why do you think you need to replace the harness? What's so catastrophically wrong with the current harness, that you need to replace it all?
