I have a 97 Ranger 2.3 and I'm trying to remove the wiper motor so I can remove the rear bolt on the intake manifold in order to replace the fuel injectors. I removed the 4 bolts holding the motor in place but it just hangs there. I know there has to be some way to release it.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

You are using the wrong tool. You don't have to take the wiper motor out to get to any of that. Not according to the instructions anyway. I don't exactly have one here in front of me to test things on.

Thanks for your response. Can you tell me where I can find the instructions to remove the manifold? I've tried searching but I can't find anything for a 2.3 intake manifold removal.
