I didn't know exactly where to post this. My 1990 ranger has wiper arms with the little post pin, instead of a loop arm. I can't get the blade to stay on, after 2 wipes it falls off. Does anyone know how to solve this, can I get an arm that has a loop instead of a post.

Thanks,
Jonn

If it ain't broke, break it.
You could probably find some different arms in a junkyard. I don't know what kind the older Rangers had but newer ones have the loop.

If you don't have time to do it right will you have time to do it over?
Or find some blades that will stay on the pins, they were used for years.

I agree with Walt... you are probably buying a universal meant to fit either/or arm. Find one that is just the pin type attachment and call it a day.

We can add these to the crappy aftermarket parts we deal with now days...

Maybe some one will chime in with a good part number/supplier... maybe @RobbieD @85_Ranger4x4 ?

I like to grab wiper arms off the 91 and 92 Rangers. They were J-hook, but still fit correctly.

Toonces drives a Ranger . . . . just not very well.
I've never had the pin on a wiper arm wear or deform, so that a replacement wiper blade wouldn't stay on. I have had the latching part on the wiper blade itself wear out, causing the blade to come off, but new blades locked on fine.

Are you trying to put new blades on yours, or are you R&R'ing an existing blade?

I got my blades frozen to the glass high up once and the arm pulled out.
