Slightly off topic but since it was brought up... What the heck is "soundscreen"? I just noticed my windshield has that logo on it. What exactly makes it different than any other windshield? :dunno:

According to Ford, Sound Screen is an acoustic layer that reduces sound. It is also supposed to be in the doors as well. I think the industry term is acoustic glazing.

Sounds more like something you'd see on an infomercial at 3am...

I wonder if the new windshield also comes with that ceramic coating that costs an absurd amount and only lasts a year. The dealer suckered my mom right into that nonsense...

OK. 6 weeks into this ordeal, I now have a new windshield. It only took the technician less than four miles for the truck to recalibrate itself.
Congratulations... it is truly amazing how simple tasks that never even were a blip on the radar previously... now seem to develop into a hurricane force.

Actually, they plug in a module to the ECU and a satellite links to it as it "looks" at the terrain. And yes. I have seen Maximum Overdrive with Emilio Estevez. They can track us more easily now. I should have gotten a 1965 pickup.
