Window fitment

So someone decided to fix my window for me last night, they noticed that the glass had gotten lodged in the opening at the top of the door, and was keeping rain out, so they decided to fix that by putting a fist or something through it. Really nice of them to be considerate...

Anyways, I need a new window, but I'm trying to figure out what vehicles our windows are the same as, I find it hard to believe they are ranger only.

Common sense says anything 98 and up should be identical, except maybe colour, but what about the explorers? Same windows? Sport tracs? Escapes? What about full size?

Anyone have any idea? There's a junk yard that's about an hour from me that has rangers, and only want 25$ for a window, but it's another 30$ in gas round trip, and I'm pretty low on funds after being off work 2 months with the motorcycle accident, so I'm trying to skimp...

Anyone know if an f-150 window will fit? I have an 01 f150 at work, the window looks the same, and I should be able to steal the window out of it

i would have a hard time thinking a 150 window would work.


they suck to put in though, i have done too many this past winter.

You will need 1993 and newer Ranger only door glass. It would be nice if more Ford parts would interchange, but they don't. You can also look for the Ford built Mazda pickups.

thanks for the replies guys, yeah I talked to a guy at a glass shop, and was able to pick up a new window for $60 cash, he was saying the f150 glass won't work because it's longer (which I found out when I measured it) and the bottom of the glass is different, the ranger is riveted in, where as the f-150 is clamped
