### If current is passed through two freely suspended wires
a) In series
The current in the two wires will be in the opposite direction. Hence a force of repulsion will act between them and the will move away from each other.
b) In parallel
The current in the two wires will be in the same direction. Hence a force of attraction will act between the two wires and they will move towards each other.
