I wanted a cheap upgrade swaybar for my 2001 2WD Ranger. The stocker is 27mm. I was at the junkyards & noticed that Explorer's have 34mm Front swaybar.

But 2WD Explorers all seem the have torsion bar suspension, while my Ranger has coil spring front suspension. Would the Explorer front bar fit?

First off, Welcome to the Station Scott! Second off, I wouldn't think they would interchange because the exploders have torion bars and the rangers have coils. I would like to see if they would interchange, so the next time you get a chance check out how they compare to each other. I would like to know too.

I'm trying to find out if any front suspension parts will swap between the Exploer and the 98+ Coil Spring Rangers without major mods myself, but am haveing a hell of a time getting any info. I'm looking to see what mods I would have to do to get a set of Ranger drop spindles/springs to work on my Ex to get rid of my T-bars.

So how about I'll take a bunch of pics and measurments of mine and you do the same on yours and we post them up to see if it is at all possible.

Here is some pics and measurments off of my '97 2WD Explorer. Of coarse if you are going to do this mod, get a Sway-bar from a '98-'01 they are solid (the '95-'97s are tube) Apearantly they are suposed to bolt right up to a 4x4 Ranger as well as the Edge (torsion bar suspension)
