Will 32x11.5x15 tires fit

Good morning,

I have a 1999 Ford Ranger 4x4 with stock wheels. Does anyone know if 32x11.5x15 tires will fit on the stock wheels and not rub? It looks like they will with the reading I’ve done, but wanted some more opinions. Thanks!

I believe the recommended wheel width for the 32x11.50x15's I've looked at was 8 to 10 inches wide. Your factory wheels are only 7 inches wide.

That said... I've seen people run them on the factory width wheels. Not optimal... but has been done.

As far as rub is concerned... depending on the suspension of your truck they may or may not rub. Chances are you will get a little rub at full left or right turn and increased chances the closer the suspension is to full compression/rebound.

On a stock truck, I would expect those to rub. 11.50 is pretty wide. Regardless of the wheel width, the tread will be wide.

I ran 32x11.5-15 mud tires on my 02 FX4. I had a 1.5" torsion bar lift and stock wheels. My stock wheels are Alcoa, but I think the dimensional specs are the same. They did fairly well, but there was slight rubbing occasionally when off-road in rough conditions. It was not so much full lock turns, but a lot of articulation of the front suspension would cause light rubbing. Nothing to cause and damage, but I could hear it. I don't recall any rubbing when on pavement. The rear suspension never had rubbing.

They were ProComp MT tires and at around 30K miles started going out of round. I don't think it had any thing to do with the 7" wide wheels though. Wear on the tires was pretty uniform across the width. They saw mainly off-road use, because I had another set of tires for street use. I replaced those with 33x10.5-15 BFG MT tires. They work a lot better off-road and rubbing was almost non-existent. I have over 37K miles on them now and they are still running true. I did have to re-balance them recently but they balanced nicely and run smooth again.

It’s the only picture I have when I had 31’s but 31’s fit with no torsion crank so I think if you do a torsion crank you can do 32s
