Hi guys

Newbie here. recently inherited a 2001 4.0L sport trac 4x4 with 16" factory rims. I want to go with a 15x8 rim and tire. I have bought a 3" lift key and add a leaf for the rear. If I run the bars up will a 31 10.50 15 rub? We are gonna use it for a beach car and the beach gets pretty tore up trying to get on & off the beach. I thought a wider tire might be better on the sand. Sorry to beat a dead horse but i'm in info over load here. Thanks

My credo
Its probably better to be self deprecating than self defecating.
I'm relatively sure they'd fit without the lift even. Might rub a touch up front on the sway bar at full lock, but wheel spacers/less backspaced wheels would fix that.

I'm sure with the lift youd be fine.

should be fine, might rub a lil when steering fully locked. Also airing down helps a lot on sand. I run about 8-12psi on sand, just enough to keep the tire on the wheel and off the rim lol

I'm not totally sure here... but I think you have to be careful on which 15 inch wheel you choose. I think some may not clear the calipers.

Yea, pretty sure they used 12" brakes so you would need a bigger offset with a 15" rim. My truck uses 11" brakes and 15's just barely clear the caliper.

Keep your stock rims and go with a 265/70 tire, once you air down that inch in rim width will be negligible. Also, you may need to trim the bottom of the fender plastic where it meets the inner wheel well as it could rub at full lock.
