Just wondering who has their Wii connected to the internet, and how you like. I am debating hooking mine up and getting a Netflix account for it; has anyone done this? I was told that the connection is rather slow.

Thanks :icon_thumby:

From what I've heard, it seems like the Wii has a hard time streaming HD content. It's probably due to the smaller on-board storage space (512mb). I've got a Sony blu-ray player and I stream Netflix to it, it does a pretty good job.

If you wanted though, Netflix does give you a month for free with no cancellation fee if you decide against it. So you could always try it out and see how it works for you.

My friend uses his Wii for netflix and has no complaints. I use my laptop, other friends use Xbox and ps3, also without complaints. Seems like an overall good service, especially for the $8/month it costs here... Not that I even pay for it, because 1 account works for up to 5 devices, so I use a friends.

I'm happy with it so far. I just finished watching Star Trek on it and I thought the quality was quite good, with no interuptions in my streaming. My only complaint thus far is it doesn't have all the movies availible for streaming as it does on DVD.

My kids wii works fine with netflix. We simply use the xbox because I hard wired it and it's faster.
