Wierd Issue with AOD

Yesterday I aquired my newest love, my LTD Crown Vic, I have pretty much diagnosed the engine issue, but the trans did something I've never encounter before eprsonally. When in overdrive, past 45/50 MPH, when OD should kick in, it felt as if the engine magically disconnected itself from everything and the car coasted to a stop. When I put it in drive (D) I could easily go highway speeds with no issue. I got alot to learn, but the only thing I could think of is some computer issue, but I really don't know.

OD solenoid? Not sure..That's odd.

Struck me as very odd as well, the only thing me and my friend could think of was some computer issue or soemthing like a solenoid because it ONLY did it in OD and instead of going into OD it sort of just went into neutral.

how does the fluid look/smell? Those cars needed frequent flushes.

Been fiddling with the engine too much to remember to check it. I'll check tommorow when I get back to work on it.
