If you call what it is now a pickup truck, then 2022 when the name plate was reintroduce to the market.
Yet, it'll hold everything that people soccer momming an F-350 dually usually carry around in the bed. More than big enough for the kids sports gear, the week's groceries, or the golf bag. Heck, I'd even say it's big enough to haul a few bags of mulch, potting soil, and fertalizer for the flower beds or urban garden.
It really appeals to someone looking for small applications, then again I'm usually moving bigger things especially furniture so I can't pass up a long bed ever. Especially on a Ranger because I'm tall it puts everything at perfect lifting points!
When I used to haul trash we used our own trucks, everyone that had a lifted truck I never laughed because they would soon realize how hard life was gonna get plus they always seemed to have short beds
Shoot with the trash job my old white ranger went through more loads than a normal truck simply because it was lower, longer and they laughed at me but I ended up going in circles by the time they tried to catch up I'm already ahead of them
Plus since the Ranger is lower and I'm just idling around you can definitely use the roof and stack a higher pile without it toppling over.
Think people get blinded by them bigger trucks but don't really buy it thinking what they are gonna use it for because your correct the Maverick would perform BETTER than a short box unless your towing.
