Don’t understand why there is a 1998-2011 Off-road group. Where does all 2012-2019 fit?

Ford Motor Company decided we didn't get a Ranger here in the US after 2011... Until they decided to give us what they have been selling in the rest of the world this year... with only one powertrain option and nearly zero of the cool stuff available elsewhere. Still kinda stings... at least from my prospective.

But you do have a point... we live in a time of Global everything. Maybe it's time for TRS to become more Global minded.

The people in North America are too angry at the rest of the world to acknowledge the 2012+ rangers since we never got them. :icon_rofl:

No ranger built after 96 is worthy of being called "off road" :ROFLMAO:

I don't know why you say that. My 2002 FX4 Off-Road is just as capable off-road as my 89 STX. In fact, the FX4 was more capable off-road from the factory than the STX.

I didn't ask for your life story, just answer the question!
If we had a '12-'18 section, it would need a sticky explaining that these trucks weren't available in the USA. Even then 50% or more of the questions and comments posted would be "how come I've never seen one?"

I dont even know what drivetrain those things had... I know alot of them had diesels but thats about it. Did they still use ford differentials? Mazda transmissions? :dunno: Even the 2019 we just got has a completely different setup than the international trucks ever had. I know more about russian ladas than I do international rangers. ;missingteeth;

Jim already explained it in a but shell. This forum’s membership is pretty much U.S. based, so caters to that crowd. Perhaps if there were more international members, that would change but since there isn’t, only Rangers available in the U.S. are discussed.

However, with the introduction of the 2019, it would be nice to see what the similarities and differences are. Especially since there might be some cross over between the two. Particularly with the Australian models that seem to get all the neat off road accessories.

I am happy to answer any questions from what you see or not see, in these pictures. I only had the car for + 6 months but made all sorts of modifications and it’s not dune. I still have some more electrical instalments to do, but not want to do it myself. Good to know your weak spots...

Regards
Jacob

Well I have the 3.2 turbo Diesel with automatic transmission and a Sport mode with semi manually gear change (as it’s without clutch). I don’t know what the 2019 have, or if it has something that I not have but feel free to ask about it. I know every setting and knob in the car, but not sure I can explain everything as my english skills are pretty basic....
