Is he a smooth coat St. Bernard?View attachment 118889
For some this is just a picture of a dog chewing on a bone. To me this is beautiful. Why? Major has MMM, a disease that his immune system attacks his jaw muscles, and for months we had Been telling the Vet his jaw wasn't right and he wouldn't open his mouth all the way. He wouldn't even take a tennis ball in his mouth, he would grab it by the fuzzy hairs.
Now he is actively chewing on a bone I bought him over a year ago. To me this is a beautiful picture of a dog that has recovered from a bad bout of an immune disorder. I smiled for over a half hour watching him just chew on a piece of rawhide.
I'm not sure of the official name but he is a short hair St. Bernard. He is just under 2 yrs old and has topped out at 240 lbs.Is he a smooth coat St. Bernard?
Perhaps the picture is routine, but the accompanying story makes it, and your shared experience, beautiful. May he have many years of happy life and dutiful companionship ahead of him.View attachment 118889
