'05 Ranger Edge, 2wd, 2 door 3.0 stick shift with around 67.000 miles in Western Arizona. I am having fun in the garage by slowly but surely replacing worn parts and those that I expect to be worn out soon. On to the O2 sensors.
I really like to use Ford parts to replace sensors but I hate to pay the rapists at the local Ford dealer. It looks like I need two upstream and two downstream sensors. Where can I get a decent price on Motorcraft sensors? I am able to get a 10% discount for being a Veteran at NAPA.
And why, oh why did they design this engine with four of the dang things?
I used the local upholstery shop to replace the lower bolster driver's seat section that gets worn with use. I almost needed a Credit Union loan to pay for that!
The truck is black and looks good from 10' away, The truck was used to haul hay before I got it and has a lot of scratches from running it through the fields. A local detail shop wants $325 to do a buff and shine. Does not need the hood or roof done though as I rattle canned them flat black. Bed has been coated so it does not need buffed either. Is that a decent price?
