Hi All, new to the forum, but I like what I see! Hoping somebody could tell ne the significance of this broken wire by coils. Just bought the truck and it is running fine, do I need to repair this?

Toonces drives a Ranger . . . . just not very well.
Welcome. It looks like it would go to a missing noise suppression capacitor. Not absolutely needed, but cheap and easy to replace, to fix it right. If you're not going to replace it, pull the pigtail or cap the wire end, as the circuit is a +12v ignition lead and will cause a short if it touches ground.

If you don't have time to do it right will you have time to do it over?
Get a new one, they're cheap.

Thanks, will do! By the way that truck was originally from Georgia when it was first sold in '97
