Which years had aluminum hoods and are the hinges the same?

I hood is the easiest part of a car or truck to paint (that and a trunk which a truck doesn't have). Easy to sand, prime and paint. You can even take it off and paint it in a tent.My 99 has one, I can tell because the paint is coming off. Ok, I could tell anyway, but it's annoying me that the paint is coming off. It's not going to help resell value, but I also doubt its worth a repain to sell.
I wonder which would sell the truck better, factory hood with the paint chipping off, or black fiberglass power dome hood that also parobably needs repaint.
If I were going to paint the hood, I'd need to paint the whole truck. The paint is pretty well shot and painting just the hood would stick out like a sore thumb. At a minumum, the hood, the roof, and the top part of the bed need paint. Hood for the reasons mentioned. Roof due to sun damage. Bed rails because they were sanded down for an over the rail, spray in bedliner that has since failed and mostly peeled off.I hood is the easiest part of a car or truck to paint (that and a trunk which a truck doesn't have).
