^ for that reason, I like the one on the right. There's no vertical elements to the design of that gen ranger. It matches the body lines better.
The ranger is a minimalist truck, the minimalist grill fits. <smokes long cigarette, wears black beret>
Actually there is a vertical element in that grill but it is painted black. It is in the center above and below the emblem. Without being painted it looks very similar to a dodge grill with the 4 sections.

A properly suspensioned Ranger can be safely airborne for up to 4 seconds at a time! =:O
DAY-um!... are these original paint jobs? Whyze does everyone's '93 look better than my '99, even though they're in da RUST belt, and I'm not...?? :icon_confused:

Id guess increasing environmental regulations and the primer/paint/clearcoat not being as good as it was 20 years ago.
Look at the ford emblems on the grille from the past 10 years, they fade badly but ones in a junkyard from the early to mid 90’s are in decent shape, much better than some 5 year old ones. Yes those are plastic but the general overall quality of everything seems to be going downhill.

Weirdly true... my '99 grille Blue Oval is pristine, rest of grille is sunburned bare plastic (to be re-painted soon).
