So in my journey of allways trying to further waterproof my rig I came across this nifty tool for yota's. I dont see why somthing couldnt be easily fabricated to grease the spindle bearings on our axles (35/44/10 bolt whatever). Also could make somthing that threaded on in the same fashion to purge grease thru the wheel bearings as well. I realize that this would not replace initial greasing of the bearings or my typical yearly clean inspect and repack/replace(repack). However it sure would be nice to do inbetween trips when there just isnt enough time to completely disassemble, clean, and repack. I think this could make bearings last longer than they have been for me.

also read a TON on some jeeper pages of what they are doing for grease modifications on there 30's and stuff for waterproofing. There is some pretty good info and definatelyhas gotten my gears, .errr bearings turning on doing some slimilar stuff to my 44

after some hands on further reasearch. the spindle grease tool wouldnt work that wall unless you made it to clear the axle shaft.

However i think before i reassemble the front end on the explorer i am going to attempt to modify hub parts similar to the jeep stuff. the only issue is that the wheel wont clear a zerk on the outside of the hub. easy fix is i think i'm willing to remove the zerk before removing the tire. should be pretty easy. might just get a plug to put in after it is thourghly greased. not too concerned on the whole assemble being out of ballance as i am running Large tries that are unbalanced as it is.
