i towed this 6 person pop up camper and a ton of gear. wasn't an issue, could maintain 70 the whole time. i also pull a 16' bass boat but i don't have pictures

i have however hauled a lot of crap the bed. like this dirt that i didn't realize how much i had until the mud flaps were almost on the ground.

the bed was slam full but it didn't give me any trouble at all, even had 3 people in the truck with the AC on, it was 100 outside that day. turning was a little sketchy. took some slow back roads.

and some logs

No pic's but I've hauled scrap, a full size demo car, and a 76 blazer with 9 inches of lift on 44's, all on my 18ft. 2000lb car trailer.

1997 super cab, 4.0L, auto, 4x4, had 10ply tire's and taller bump stops

I pull 2 sleds or 2 quads on my 8x12 flat deck so roughly about 1300 pounds. I haul so much in my truck I never take pictures or anything but I love hauling with my 1/4 ton. If its a load of hay or the horses I use my big girl for obvious reasons. Ill start taking more pictures now.

I'll give you 4,000 for the Ranger, 6,000 for the full-size and 2,000 for the trailer.

You'll give me 5,000 for the Ranger, 7,000 for the full-size and 4,000 for the trailer.

I'll give you the 5400lb weight ticket for the ranger on a CAT scale, 6000lb ticket for the f250 with the bed loaded down with lumber and tires (8000lbs) and 2500ish for the trailer.

The only reason for guessing around that weight was the fact that other than the trailer everything has been weighed. Although if you can find me a one ton swapped supercab ranger that somehow only weighs 200lbs more than stock I'll be impressed.

I pulled a 1500 lb load of junk over a mountainous hwy with grades up to 8% with a duration of 5 miles. Not too bad for a 3.0L.

I really don't know what you are talking about. Are you going to kick my ass? Usually when you write a check your ass can't cash, that means you are going to come up short in some fashion. Have I come up short here and now you are going to beat the shit out of me? I thought I was just posting in a forum, but if it's more than that, let me know. I will inquire into the condition of my ass and see what the withdraw limit is. I think, though, that after 31 years of weight lifting and 10 years in the Marine Corps my ass might be able to honor any check my mouth might draft--and I am careful not to provoke people that look like they can kick my ass. I have never confronted Robert Mathis and offered him an ass whipping, for instance. I haven't been to ninja school, regrettably, but its on my to-do list. If you are going to ninja me, at least give me the courtesy of attending Master Ko's Ninja School. Otherwise...what?

I don't really care about the weights, but my Cat ticket for my B2 with a 4.0, D35/8.8 and a winch is 4,200#. I've cut up a lot of RBVs and there isn't a lot in them. 5,400# is a whole lot for a Ranger. The fact that there is 2,000# in the F250 isn't obvious, but that's not a lot of weight for an F250--I'll give you that. The trailer doesn't look like 2,500#, but it's not a lot more than I thought it would be. Okay.

It's no big deal.

I wasn't in any competition here. My trailer is an 18,000# gvwr 3-axle gooseneck and weighs 6,000# empty. I'll be more than happy to drop it onto the ball in anyones Ranger bed and see how you do.

Well this has nothing to do with me so moving on :icon_thumby:

Remember its full body supercab ranger with a 4.0L, D60's, non-OE bumper, 38.5's+steel rims+tubes, OBA, fullsize spare, heavy DOM links/steering, etc. Truck was 3800lbs on the CAT scale OEM with 265/75's on OE alloys. I honestly wasn't expecting it to way 5400lbs, but it I am not overly surprised. Front D60 weighs 600lbs...so there is 400lbs over your D35 easy, rear is in the 500lb range so there is 300lbs over your 8.8" it all adds up. :icon_thumby: Not to mention holy F are those wheel/tires heavy two man job to get them on quickly.

The F250 meh its an F250 I should have emptied the bed and backed the truck on to help the poor ranger. There is a bit of tongue weight tied up in that.

As for the trailer I am just going off of what the tongue says. Not my trailer. Tongue stated 13xxx lbs gross 26xx lbs empty no reason to doubt it. Might be a smidgen lighter than my guess since its owner swapped on the mags and cut off the fenders.

I wasn't in any competition here. My trailer is an 18,000# gvwr 3-axle gooseneck and weighs 6,000# empty. I'll be more than happy to drop it onto the ball in anyones Ranger bed and see how you do.
Would be curious to see how much mine would squat. In all honesty the leafs are out of a 3/4T J4000 and retain the overload. Don't have a goose however so no way to see. :dunno:

With a 4.0litre in it, shouldn't really matter, little bit of common sense and things are fine, even a 3.0 litre shouldn't have too many problems with weight, the brakes are a different story though
I haven't towed anything with 2.3, but, I did have 4x350lb motorcycles in the bed, plus a bunch of extra stuff then drove 1200 miles from Pa. to Florida (probably about 1,600lbs in bed)
It was very slow uphill (2nd gear) and a bit sketchy downhill but I got home OK (this was in 2005, done about 80,000 miles since so I guess nothing got damaged)

My ranger had its bed filled with bricks to the top of the bed rails and drove 19 miles. It looked like a lowrider. sorry don't have pictures it happened when I was 13 lol. I don't tow stuff but I do haul my 566 pound (dry weight) 4-wheeler around at about 65mph.
