Mini trucks is a term for 2wd street/race truck builds
So the forum is labeled incorrectly so as to confuse new truck owners. We bought a Ranger over a Courier, because we did not want a mini truck.
Our happens to be a 2 wheel drive mid sized truck.

and lambasting a new person for an obvious a misprint, is rude.

This site has been around for over twenty years... terminology for them... even longer. Trust me... it's not a misprint or a plot to confuse new truck owners. It's just what it's called here on the best Ranger forum on the internet. If you look hard enough... you will likely see other examples of terminology that might not be consistent to everyone that may come here is looking for. But rest assured that there has been huge efforts by many people over the years to document many things for you to gain answers and guidance for nearly everything you might encounter with your Ranger. Also... if it isn't documented and you can't find it using different terminology... ask the questions. There are many people here that will step up to help.

So... take a deep breath... and KNOW you're in the right place for anything Ranger. No need to split hairs on the term "Mini Truck".

As for the lambasting... you see it as rude. I didn't see any real lambasting going on... I see it as passionate Ranger folks not liking being told we are doing it all wrong.

The definition of compact is a person or thing that takes up a small amount of space. An example of compact is the car called a "Mini Cooper." An example of compact is a pocket-sized camera.

Compact.....can be mini.

Ford...called the 83 ranger compact. Dakota was a midsize.

So yeah.....that could make it mini ..... Or

Make the courier a micro as it is a sub compact.... (( THIS SNIDE MESSAGE HAS BEEN REDACTED BECAUSE YOUR TOO SENSITIVE )) So go on about your business.

Quote me on that for what I really think. :thefinger:

That’s my not so Mid sized truck between an F150 and a Murano Midsize SUV. My truck is 2wd, stock height. Mini would definitely be a good adjective and for all reasons above “it is what it is”

I was eluding to your “Mini” joke, sorry. I was meeting my family when my Dad and I saw the truck beside mine and we were in tears for longer than it was really funny.

Morris Minor also had some cute mini pickups thru the 60's.
