OK I have read numerous answers for the p0305 cyl #5 misfire, and I have read as many different answers, all very similar but yet all very different depending on the wording, but still no one definitive answer. All the answers describe every problem I have observed. All are very plausible answers. I have done the cam sensor, plugs, plug wires, coil pack, starter, battery and replaced injector number four. Check engine light comes on and goes off. Truck runs good except on idle. Truck runs better when low on gas and worse idling after refueliing. So, ?

Why did you replace the #4 injector if #5 is misfiring?

Pull the number 5 and check for clogging or non operation. Any other fuel issue should affect all 6.

If its not a fuel or spark issue its compression, meaning rings/valves.

The same symptom can have different causes. Replacing parts is not diagnosing.
