On which year of Ranger did Ford start using the anti-theft system? You know, the system with the blinky light on the dash.
A local mechanic needs to know.

Depends. 1998 the 6 cylinders didn't have it but the 4 cylinders did. In 1999 all of them did.

My stepdad's 99 with the 3.0 had it. And it hated the remote starter. :D
