That grenade looks pretty cool. My last ranger was an auto, but I had a 13 speed old school chrome gearshift knob from an 18 wheeler on my last manual truck. The newer big truck ones are plastic and not worth crap.

Don't have a manual now and they are all splined anyway. Friend had car accident, home for rehab, took up wood working and made this custom one for me. He actually made it to fit my hand. Of course that's been many years now but still have it.

Currently factory all the way. But since I am doing a body lift I certainly would like to locate one of those Hurst short throw units on the cheap. If I had one of those I would keep the original Hurst ball as they are just the right size.

All I had to do was thread the grenade and the stick
there's no that holding a grenade to shift is comfortable haha. definately looks cool though.

the grey-t escape
ive got a hurst shifter with the stock black "hurst" knob, 5 speed pattern on the top, from time to time i'll switch it, run a old escort knob, or a knob from a old international grain truck.

i haven't found it to be uncomfortable at all
