What seats will fit my '95 Supercab?

I am finalizing the essentials on my work commuter Ranger. Other than some new paint on the hood and front fenders, and some exhaust work, it is almost done. One of my biggest gripes, though, is the driver's seat. It is all broken down (before I got it), and little chunks of foam regularly fall out from under. Spending 60+ miles in it a day (on work days), it tends to get a bit uncomfortable.

I have been searching for replacement foam for the 60/40 seats, and I have determined it is not a part you can just purchase. The upholstery is in good shape, its just the foam (or possibly the springs have broken loose?) that is the problem.

So, I have been wondering if I could find some nice used seats, from something newer than my '95, and still be a direct bolt in? What seats are compatible? Explorer seats work? What I would really like is a couple nice '02 Explorer seats and a center console. Our '02 Explorer has twice as many miles as the Ranger, but the seats are firm, comfortable, and like new. Not sure if something like that would fit, though.

Any ideas?

Jimbo, Any seat will fit as long as you reuse your seat track. You can get Mustang, Explorer, Escort etc... seat and swap them to your tracks. If you don't want to do that the seats including tracks have to come from at least another extended cab. Regular cabs have different tracks.

Excellent! Thanks! So, year is not relevant, either? So, for instance, a 2006 Explorer seat might fit onto my existing tracks? Or, a 2006 Ranger ext cab seat with track, might bolt into my floorpan holes?

Thanks again!

I have 2002 2dr Explorer Sport seats in my 99 Supercab. Passenger side dropped in with the Explorer track. Driver side was power so I had to swap a manual Explorer track. Only other modification was to drill out some of the mounting holes on the tracks (where mount to floor) to accept the Ranger floor bolts. I had buckets to begin with so I had a floor mounted center console

If you have a good salvage yard in your area and it has a 95 SuperCab in it, go in and test fit whatever seats they have that you like into that ranger.
