I am very new to working on cars and just finished putting a 5.0 form a 98 explorer into my 01 ranger. What is this noise it’s making? It sounds like a tap in the video but in real life it sounds like air being pushed out. Is this a misfire, or a vacuum leak? I really got no clue help would be greatly appreciated

going solely on the statement "sounds like air is being pushed out" I would check the exhaust manifolds.

can't tell from the video. get a couple feet of rubber hose to use as a stethoscope.

Could one of the spark plugs be loose?

Sounds like an exhaust leak and one or two cylinders not firing

My credo
In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
