Okay guys, it's getting time where I need to sell my beloved '94 2.3 4x4 & get something that isn't as rusty.

The good news is that I've come across a 2000 (I think) Mazda B2500 2wd with a stick (regular cab & XLT trim) with a bad engine (the shop says the #4 cylender had a hole in it) with about 180,000 on the chassis for $500.

Here's what I'm thinking: I've had a guy offer me $3500 (TWICE!) for my truck, so I'll sell him that, buy the Mazda, and put a new or reman engine & clutch in it for $1500.

I'll still have $1500 left over for other stuff like new tires & rust repair if needed.

The bottom line is should I do this?

Well Dasfinc here has a '98' and stuck an Explorer 5.0L in it and it ran him $2000 counting the price ($800) for the truck. Careful picking at the JY and he was running 14.8 secs in the 1/4 last year. He has a nice sheet telling of his whole build up. Way too many options out there on what/where you want/need to go.

Talk the guy up, you might get $4k out of him... then that other truck is essentially free :icon_thumby:
