yeah me and my dad both like the 6 more than any other but we both would rather have any strait 6 but the 300 6 if its built right can be one heck of a motor and with the right combo it can out pull a 460 on the hillsThat is a real cool truck , I like the fact that you guys put a 300/6 in it, i have had 2 different trucks with that motor in my opinion it is the best motor ford ever made, and oh yeah we most definitely need some more pics
the tag axle doesnt have brakes and its gonna be baby blue and my dad already has a fifthwheel its off an old rigIm curious about the Tag axle my old man and I have kicked around the idea of doing something similar to this for a long time. Is it just a Tag axle with or without brakes? Are you guys going to make it a twin screw?
It needs: black paint job, diamond plate bed where the wood is, fifth wheel hitch.
O and a built 460 I had a 300 I6 and it doesnt hold a flame to a mild 460.
I had a 300 I6 in my 74 F250 with the granny low 4 speed and once it got out of grany low i was never impressed but the again I pull fast and my old 460(bored .040 over in a 91 f250 would pull a loaded trailer down the interestate at 80mph without a care in the world and it even had the sushbox auto.the tag axle doesnt have brakes and its gonna be baby blue and my dad already has a fifthwheel its off an old rig
the combination my dads freind has in his 300 6 out pulls and out climbs a bord and ported 460 with ease my dad is puttin one together right now with the same combination he just doesnt have the money to get the pistons or the head redone
but a bet your 300 6 was basicaly stock rightI had a 300 I6 in my 74 F250 with the granny low 4 speed and once it got out of grany low i was never impressed but the again I pull fast and my old 460(bored .040 over in a 91 f250 would pull a loaded trailer down the interestate at 80mph without a care in the world and it even had the sushbox auto.
