My wife has this thing for clocks... yes I said clocks.

1000 sqft house... 10 clocks.

It's fall back tonight... so I changed batteries in the smoke alarms and set all the clocks.
Any cool old ones? below is my collection. first one is pretty much a parts clock, the cabinet is in horrible shape. does have the key and all the mechanicals though. Second one is an Ansonia kitchen clock that was a wedding gift to my great grandparents in 1914. has all parts and key. cabinet is in beautiful shape. Need to clean it, it is a bit gummed up from sitting. Third is a 10 dollar yard sale find. works, and has key and most parts, looks like there is a missing decorative medalion from the pendulum. 4th belonged to my grandparents, it is a 400 day clock. kind of neat how the little tape of metal puts torsion on the 4 ball pendulum to spin it back and forth. I always loved watching it as a kid. needs some work, but has all the parts including the dome and key (which is not pictured) 5th one is a modern wind up clock that was given to us. needs some adjustment but looks great and has all parts and key. 6th, thrift store find for 25 bucks, Ingraham Mantle clock researched and it was probably made in the 1920s. missing the key and pendulum bob. have not got around to ordering them to see if it works or not.

Yesterday I took a couple pics to give you guys an idea of what we deal with over here for woods and logging roads... First is a nearly average logging road... Then the second is a skidder road I was walking down, hard to tell angle but it's like a 30 degree slope and again a more open spot than most hence where I was walking...

I live in a pretty nice subdivision on the edge of the city, not bragging, just important to the story.. The difference between Atlanta and New York/New Jersey, where I came from, is New York is in the middle of a whole bunch of other big cities, so if you go out in the middle of the country, people still have a kind of city attitude.

Atlanta is the opposite. It’s big city with hundreds of miles of country all around it. You can take the folks out of the country, but you can’t take the country out of the folks.

The church owns the little house across the street from me. They’re sprucing it up, and they’re going to redo the landscaping. So they brought in the lawn mowers…

I can’t ever remember the neighbors bringing in a half a dozen goats when I lived up north…:

It’s not overgrown, but most of the stuff around here looks like Better Homes and Gardens, literally. It hasn’t been Updated in 30 years. They keep it trimmed, but it’s trimming the weeds….

I went to Walmart. And got ID’d for the first time.
The reason? Fuel injector cleaner. That’s right, I got ID’d for a fuel additive.
I have so many questions I won’t ask.

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.

Maybe it has an ingredient with the letters "meth" in the name. I don't recommend drinking it.

shoveled some snow and the finished with the snow blower around the neighborhood, got about 10 inches.
75 today, 100% humidity, that ugly precipitation that’s not really a mist but it’s not really rain.

No snow here, but when Lincoln and I went to the Kroger to get some milk and fried chicken, I noticed the neighbor two doors down has his Christmas lights up. Made me wonder if the goats are really part of some kind of Christmas manger scene for the church.

The first time I used it, yes it definitely seemed to help. Now I run it through every 5k or so just as a preventative measure, with no noticeable improvement.

Got stuck in traffic for a dumb amount of time, missed one thing I was going to do but ended up home earlier than expected because of that so I got some of the T111 that was on the back of the garage and moved it to the shop to use for the woodshed... then installed the wall I worked on on Friday, it's up at least but have another step or two that aren't as complicated.

From here, not sure, probably cleaning, it's going to be a busy winter in the shop and house since I'm hoping to replace the majority of the kitchen counters on turkey day weekend then the inlaws are coming over after Christmas through New Years to help with the loft for the shop... the house and the shop are a mess so yeah...

That's awesome! Back home there were people that advertised this as a service; they would bring their goats to clear your vegetation. I'd get some if the town I live in allowed it.

Yesterday we brought Diesel in to get fixed, but found out he has hookworms and anemia so bad they wouldn't do the surgery. It wasn't too surprising and I kind of expected it to be honest. He has to get dewormed again and some supplements for the anemia and hopefully it will clear up in a few weeks so he can go get fixed. In the meantime he doesn't seem to be having any trouble adjusting!
