I have a few places around here that can work on them. I just don't want to pay the shop rate, if I can help it. Most of the time, it isn't a problem. This particular tool has been around for a while and been asked to do more than it's designed for on multiple occasions. I've got my money's worth out of it. I'll stop buy a shop that is on the way home and have them look at it to see if they can get it running again or if it needs to be put out to pasture.I really wish I knew more about small engines and had a place to work on them. Dad has a chainsaw that we’ve tinkered with a few times and it still doesn’t work right. It has compression, the cylinder isn’t torn up, replaced the carb, tried adjusting it a few times, new spark plug, the whole deal. Sometimes it runs for a bit sometimes it does nothing. Dad’s old Craftsman chainsaw that’s now mine did that sort of thing to me several years back and I threw it into the back of the shed for a couple years and then it decided to work like new. Sometimes I wonder if they just need to sit in time-out for awhile…
