I didn't do much yesterday. Just some touch up on the trailer paint. The grass should be dry enough to cut today. And I'm researching camp tables for LBL. I've been just using the tailgate of the truck as a table at the last meets but it was just me. Since my girlfriend is coming along, she might prefer a table.

I'm also looking at a fold up fire ring. Not so much for LBL but for places where they don't have one. I've run across that a time or two. The same with a table. The last time I needed my own table was when I had the CR-V and it came with it's own table.

Never put off ‘til tomorrow what you can put off indefinitely
I built a wall and ran a bunch of electrical in the new house.
I cut my wife’s office in half to buil her a laundry room on the second floor. I’m turning what was the 1st floor laundry room into a walk in pantry since it’s right off the kitchen.

For some unknown reason, the builder didn’t like to put lights in this house (cost). Every room has a switch when you walk in, but it controls half of an outlet somewhere in the room. Im working on changing that. I put the lights (see pics) in the office and laundry room ceilings today. I’ll probably put ceiling fans with lights in the bedrooms.

One of these days I need to post a list of all the Milwaukee stuff I’ve recently bought in the “new tools” post, but not today.
I was going to straighten it up a little bit before I posted a picture, but then I realized the benefits to all mankind are paramount and take precedence.

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.

You may want to consider a portable fire pit kind of thing. Some places do not allow fires directly on the ground. So, you not only need a ring, but something that keeps the fire up off the ground. That was my goal when I bought my flat pack grill.

I'll have to look into that.

Cleaned up all the tools in the garage and took measurements for the next projects. One is lid reinforcement for the lids on the wooden boxes for the camping equipment. The other is to build wooden boxes to replace the plastic bins that hold the kindling and smaller sticks for building fires. The cargo straps are destroying the plastic bins, which was expected, and needs replaced.

Brought Major to the vet for his monthly check up. The steroid is being reduced so his jaw is doing much better although his weight this time was 215lbs. They are starting him on an antibiotic because he has such a sensitive digestive system that he has cow pies for poops. The pre and pro biotic aren't bulking it up enough but at least it isn't the runs anymore.

After his appointment the GF worked on the pool and I cleaned the house and did the floors while her mom was out of the house. I also changed a brake light bulb on the Trail Blazer cause it's due for inspection.

Went to replace the rusted out backer plates for the rear brakes on my F250. They didn't have a cutout to slide them off the side of the axle tube, so just bit the bullet and drained the differential so I could pull the axel shafts out of the way.

Turns out, the axle bolts on from the outside and I didn't need to pull the cover. No big deal, the fluid probably was original anyway. Only problem is the flange with the wheel studs are not part of the axle and I need to remove the entire assembly.

Not the quick half hour job I was hoping for.

Now it's just in 1000 pieces waiting for a special socket, and some other stuff to get here this weekend.

Its probably better to be self deprecating than self defecating.
Watered the back yard early morning, as it's brutal hot right now here. With my heat stroke a few years ago..unable to be out in this heat. I smoked a joint outside and watched the TV show a team all day inside the ac. I love that show.
Solid way to spend the day!

Friend of Bill W.
Finished installing a utility sink in the sister-in-law's basement. The sister-in-law and the wife work their papercraft magic in that basement. Total shame for them to work down there for years with no sink and running water! Heck of a long messy job though. Much easier to replace an existing sink with a utility sink than to start from scratch.

Now to add a toilet (ha, ha).

What year f250? I’ll get you the torque spec for the hub bearings.
I’d also recommend replacing the hub seals if you’re going to remove the hub (the flange with the wheel studs).

I went and picked up some engine paint for the block I'll hopefully be getting back tomorrow. Then I proceeded to sleep for most of the day. I'll call it preparation for a sleepless night due to all of the fireworks that are expected tonight. Surprisingly it's almost 10:30 pm and there hasn't been much popping off yet.

Speaking of popping off. I did recieve some new holsters yesterday, so today I stuck pistols in them so they could start relaxing and taking shape. Don't know who might be in the market, but this makes my 3rd purchase of VersaCarry products. Previously I'd bought two holsters for a 1911 and a Bersa. This purchase got a couple of belts a holster for my other 1911 and my Canik, and a couple of mag pouches. Definitely happy with what I recieved.
