The new springs came in today.

So did the shocks but I have a meeting tonight. Rancho RX5000 series. Nothing special.
Dang... I want new springs.

Where did you source those?

I've never bought springs on the internet..

General Spring has the best price for 1750# springs. $129 each IIRC.

If you are looking for 1250# springs or less, a lot of local places have them.

Got the new roof rack for the 2019 installed. I also put on a spare air dam I had from when I was trying to sort out the wind noise on the 2011. It's a bit small but the money was already spent. So, why the hell not? After seeing how they are made, if I need to have a wider one, I'll just make it.

And just because I was on a roll. I put the racks back on the 2011 as well.

Unloaded the tube sand and drove it to the store. I guess I guaranteed it will snow now!

Just a set of racks on the cap isn't enough for the canoe on the 2011. With the bed being shorter and the cab being longer, it's even worse on the 2019 with the canoe. I could probably get away with just one bar on the cap for both but I eventually want to get some good roof basket trays for off roading trips where the canoe wouldn't come along or would be carried on the trailer. Options. Gotta have options.

I hear ya man... I think the jealous me said that. lol

I have an idea to just make one that cantilevers out over the cab... still trapped in my mind though.

Hooked my horn up to a momentary toggle switch because NC thinks is a necessary safety device

They aren't the only ones. PA is like that too. Horn doesn't work = failed safety inspection.

My credo
built, not bought
Drove mine into town for parts, the escape was having a misfire, scanner said cyl #4. (damn $90 for a c.o.p? , I remember when gm H.E.I coils were $30, and they rarely went bad) and for the hhr- I finally got the hood to open and found the electric fan was destroyed, shroud busted and only 1 blade not broke. radiator bent but not leaking, got the pass front door to open after a fender adjustment. Reseated tire on rim and got air in it but can hear something inside, Id say a chunk of mud. It’s supposed to be reasonably nice today, may try one of my m/t classic rims on ranger. I did find some center caps for the rims through summit racing. $8 per center cap, 3.25” bore. going to clear coat them as the cheap china chrome wont last long.

Picked up an old Craftsman 15 in 12 spd drill press and a makita 12 in planer from an old friend whose dad no longer needed them. Great assets for my future workshop. The drill press was heavy as hell. I should really get a bed liner...
