Drove the Ranger today with the new motor. Got to go over tighten everything exhaust wise again, I have a sticky throttle body or pedal I think. It hangs the rpms a lil while shifting and when you take you're foot off the throttle it keeps pulling a lil untill you brake. I already did that IAC reset and reset the throttle.

Sounds good!

when is his funeral?
It's not that bad. It only required an ER visit.:ROFLMAO:

Make him fix it
Nope. Let's just say he's not very detail oriented.

I don't know if I would trust someone with his eyesight to do body work..../jk.

He probably feels about a small as small can be.
Exactly, but I'm not sure he really feels all that bad anymore. Sure, he felt bad right then, but kids these days move on pretty quickly. He's 27, I think. My son was actually using the truck when it happened, I wasn't even there. They work for the same company.

At least make him think he has to fix it. Who knows, his love for Rangers may start there.
Not worth it.

27 is not a kid, no matter how old we get. Damn near 30, he should be held responsible and accountable for his actions.

Agreed. Originally I was thinking he was 17 or 18.

I tallied up all the costs of my Ranger since i got her last April and it comes to a grand total of $6530 (approximate), which includes initial purchase cost and fees, dmv related fees, keys, parts and small services. For parts and small services alone, it's come out to $3400, not including paint, and liquids. Of course my own labor wasn't factored in.
A bit gut wrenching, but the truck performs and drives like new, so oh well it's an investment.
Never count your money when you're sitting at the table. Or the dollars in one you enjoy. End of the day, it's a hobby. 👍🏿

Last time I saw Kenny Rogers, he was married to a beautiful 24 year old. I'd call that a compliment.

Of course he did do that reboot of Gambler with Coolio so...

My step brother gets asked all the time if He's Kenny Rogers. He looks like KR before the Plastic Surgeon stretched his face back. You know, what every body thinks of when they say "Kenny Rogers"
NOT this guy

I sniff fuel for a living. Don't judge me!
Confirmed a pretty strong creak in the driver's side front suspension today after a couple heavy dips in the road on the 2011. Wrote it down on the "to do list" for the spring. I'll need to take a better look then and see if it's one of the ball joints. Since it wasn't on a turn when it creaked and groaned, I'm thinking that is what it is and not the stop rubbing the lower arm. Once I figure out what it is, the opposite side will get changed as well. Past experience, one side is bad, the other isn't far behind.

Is Moog still considered the way to go? Regardless, the new ball joints will be ones that have a zirc for greasing.

Well, the originals have lasted 8 years. So not horrible. I just feel better, even if it isn't, when I can pump grease into the joint periodically.
