I didn't ask for your life story, just answer the question!
Did it cut down on the smoking though?
NO.

That happened at the trail ride, I was behind him at some point after it happened… it didn’t help.
Open cockpit + riding behind Bobby’s BII = Not recommended.

Used my ranger as mobile scaffolding (with a ladder that is about 3 feet too short) to touch up some paint on the second floor shutters

Man, all the times I’ve used a truck for things like that… I’ll have to find some of the pics…

Don't tell osha... but we've put 28' ladders on top of our box truck to hang 4 story gutters because we weren't on the truck that had our 40' ladder lol.

Have also been on an 8' ladder on top of the truck while my partner slowly drove down the side of the building so we could get a 100' piece screwed off in record time.

But have you ever put a 32’ ladder on top of a fiberglass cap on a truck to demo a chimney that the ladder was leaning against?

Hahaha nope havnt had to do that.

I have had to put the bottom 2 rungs of a 24' ladder in the ocean to put up a piece of gutter though. Stupidest piece of gutter I've ever put up. The roof LITERALLY DRAINS INTO THE OCEAN and for some reason they were convinced they needed a gutter there 😑

Hahahaha nah not me this time.

I have done similar though. Rounded up all the longest pieces of scrap wood I could find in the yard to make a super ghetto 'gantry' to haul the motor & trans out of a scrap Nissan sentra. I really wish I had pictures of it.. my neighbors showed a great deal of concern for my safety as they went walking by 😂

To be fair, the bits of wood I used WERE that perfect shade of 'been sitting outside in the weather for 4 years gray'... but... I had lots of scrap so it was "overbuilt"... and it's not like I needed to be under it at all while yanking it out so 🤷‍♀️

Found pictures! 😂

I actually remember now.... something was fetching up when I was pulling the motor out.... my shitty deathwish gantry was actually strong enough to lift the entire front of the car off the ground until whatever it was that was getting caught finally un-stuck itself and the car went slamming back down.

The wheelbearings were so damn shot on that car it was making the axles bind and click and snap the whole ride home. As soon as I took the calipers off.... the whole assembly literally fell right apart.

we used to strap ladders end to end so we could paint the eves on the three and four story condos on emerald isle in north carolina. and the wind didn't help keep the ladders in place. they slid till you got weight on them, which meant someone stood on the bottom till you got about halfway up and then they were semi steady and when you got to the top, someone had to get about 1/3 of the way up with you to stop them from flexing so much.

but, 8 bucks an hour under the table was a lot of money back in the 90s.

Broke the interior door latch, went over to the chicken house where my spare door stash is and pulled another and replaced it.

Took another go at aligning the door to get it to work better. It now works pretty good but the body lines are off. Good enough for now...
