Latest batch of parts got here just a bit ago so I guess the transmission mount is going in today, among other things. Hopefully I can make better progress than yesterday. Still need to put in a Summit order that includes more -AN fittings, lol

Not my Ranger, but I did use the "zip tie" hack on my Nissan D21. Two zip ties and no more slack in the pedal. :headbang:

JIC Fittings are essentially the same as AN and a lot cheaper...

Yeah, unfortunately I need some more ends for the PTFE braided line and some fuel fittings, so I’m kinda stuck with -AN for this stuff.

The one big thing I haven’t found an answer for yet is that I got a transmission cooler out of a 2007 F-150 that I want to use. It has threaded fittings but I have been unable to come up with a fitting to screw in there to make my own line from so far. It’s not NPT , has an O-ring seal outside the threads and I haven’t found the answer yet. Even called Dorman since they make the replacements and they couldn’t tell me the thread size or fitting type.

Got a little more done, cam sensor is set now, valve covers on, headers are like 98% done because apparently my tub of 3/8” stainless is at my buddy’s place and I need two to join the drivers side, engine harness is on, aftermarket dipstick tube is re-bent to clear the headers (don’t check it when the engine is hot), and it started thundering so I packed it in.

That’s straight thread O-ring seal… now we just need to know if it’s metric or standard.
That is a good question, nothing I have threads in but I don’t have much that big to try

Do you have a tap and die set. They usually have a thread checker for sizing. Kind of looks like a comb.

I’ll bet it’s still NPT or BSPT ( only difference is the angle of the threads ). They have both in straight and tapered.

If you have a nut or bolt or stud you can go to any of the big box home improvement stors or Rural King or Tractor Supply and they have threaded holes and studs that are labeled that you can test fit your hardware.

Just take it to a hydraulic shop and ask for an adapter to JIC. You can use AN fittings and hose off that.
