Yes, but it should clear the roof by a few more inches and then drop down ahead of the windshield. Unless I'm just confused on the issue?

Yes, but it should clear the roof by a few more inches and then drop down ahead of the windshield. Unless I'm just confused on the issue?
Without lifting the front of the canoe a bit, its in its sweet spot as for as clearance right now.

Pushing it farther forward would actually cause the canoe to hit the roof due to the arc of its top rail or whatever its called.

If I can pull it back without it hitting the windshield.. that might work.. but it hangs off the back enough as is.

Nothing with the ranger but did finally order a axle for the ranger trailer. Its been on blocks now for almost 2 months since I gave away the 3.45 stock axle that was under it. Lately its just been a storage area (has a cap on it) for the chicken feed .

Well, I screwed up. Laugh at me. I had the Ranger apart to change the passenger-side O2 upstream sensor because of a code, could not break it loose from the bung despite using Freeze-It penetrating oil, and managed to round off the hex with the sensor socket. The angle wasn't ideal for tool access because of everything around it, even though I had the fender liner out.

Will take it to a muffler shop. I'm guessing dropping that cat will be necessary to remove that sensor, and I might as well have that downstream sensor changed as well once the cat is out.

Grew up in the 70s, 80s, and 90s
got an all time low for gas mileage this tank, 16.3mpg. no idea why other than its 100% city driving and mostly the two miles back and forth from work (which took almost 20 minutes this morning because of stupid traffic).

i think the rear brakes need some attention. when the truck has just been started and the brakes are cold from sitting over night, it locks the wheels very easily until they are warmed from a few uses.

Can you not get a pipe wrench on it?
No room. Removing the inner fender liner was barely enough to get to it with the sensor socket and a socket wrench. The angle of the sensor and the frame in the way prevented even putting vise-grip pliers on it.

The 4.0 is packed tightly in the later Rangers. Already called a muffler shop and explained what happened, and I drop off the truck tomorrow. I think they can drop the cat and take care of the problem much more easily than I could.

I've never understood why the oem cant clock the o2 sensor so its easier to get at...
